We had a lot of fun practicing canoe rescues during the day...dumping our canoe and using the other canoe to get the water out. Let's just say that I lost my sunglasses and ended up dumping the canoe later in the day by accident and Ben's stuff got wet...oops!

We did do some fishing, but we mostly reeled in these smaller fish called Fallfish (largest member of the Minnow family...) I still have to get even with those Pickerel that got the best of me on Lake Umbagog!

The evenings were very calm, but during the day the wind made paddling much more difficult. We only had a few small trips out onto the lake during the day. But luckily the nights made up for that!

Moonrise over the lake...the loons were calling and our fire crackling...awesome!

We had some awesome fires there...which were very necessary considering how cold it was at night.

Highly recommend staying at the Stephen Phillips Memorial Preserve in Oquossoc, Maine!
